There is a saying: what was once old is new again. And there is nothing that gets people worked up more than a pair of ‘90s musical acts coming out with something new. The Spice Girls have been teasing their fans for years about a possible reunion.
The potential form this reunion would take was never made clear. Some fans speculated they would record new music. Other fans hope fore a new tour that would see girl power once again fill arenas. Now, Variety is reporting that all five members of the super sexy all girl group have signed off on their likenesses being used in a possible animated superhero movie.
With Marvel and DC Comics releasing various movies and television shows utilizing their comic book heroes, it should come as no surprise that other people would want to jump on the bandwagon. It is still early in the planning stages, and is not much more than a concept at this point. But sometime in the future Ginger, Sporty, Scary, Posh and Baby may be saving the world with their hot little outfits and voices.
Justin Timberlake is a Man of the Woods
Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake is transitioning into country music, using a one-of-a-kind music video with Chris Stapleton as the launch pad. Justin, as you may recall, was active with the boy band N’Sync from 1995-2002. Timberlake and Stapleton teamed up for the video to the hit song “Say Something” and used a sixty-person choir inside the historic Bradbury Building. The entire video was filmed in Los Angeles using a single camera. And one single take. The audio was recorded live.
After 11 hours of rehearsing, during which an elevator being used for the video had mechanical issues, the duo managed to achieve their goal of a video shot with live music and in one single take. To pull something off of that size, a perfect storm of precision and luck was needed. Rejoice ‘90s kids, your idols and childhood crushes are making a comeback.
